It's kind of hard to say which version might be better. Although, I do think that the one on the right (I'm assuming the one you edited) is more appealing to the eye. The splash on the left picture draws the eye's attention away from the tiger with its stark contrast to everything else, like the dark water. I'd have to say that this was a successful edit and the image on the right looks a lot better. :)
